Cruiser
20km - Start Time: 11:00AM
Inspired by our Helles Light Lager, this route will leave you fulfilled and refreshed. With a few small hills on paved roads this ride is perfect for beginners & intermediate riders. It takes you out and back to the beautiful hamlet of Glen Huron.
Challenger
40km - Start Time: 10:30AM
Seeking a flavourful and crisp ride? This route is inspired by our Crisp Pilsner. The climb out of Creemore on the way to Terra Nova is long and hard but worth it! Just like our brewing process. After the almost 15km uphill folks can stop and refresh at the Terra Nova Public house before enduring another climb. Making their way back and down Lavender Hill. The roads are a mix of paved and gravel. Another rest stop will be offered in Dunedin before finishing down county road 9 towards the brewery. In summary a sweet, rich start with a balanced finish……just like a familiar brew of ours. 😉
Classic
60km - Start Time - A: 10:00AM
60km - Start Time - B: 10:10AM
The Classic route hasn’t changed much since our event's inception in 2016. Hence why this ride is inspired by our Premium Lager which hasn’t changed at all since our birthday 37 years ago. On this route, there are four significant climbs, spaced out over the course of the day, with multiple hills, plateaux and descents throughout this Classic Ride. Three, well, spaced rest spots in Terra Nova, Dunedin and Glen Huron provide refreshment between each challenging leg. This route is predominantly gravel terrain with potential sections of loose gravel, mud, ruts and sand depending on conditions. We encourage accomplished intermediate and advanced cyclists to register for this ride.
Expert
85km - Start Time: 9:30AM
Get ready for an all new Turas Mór ride. Inspired by our Citrusy Pale Ale with complex character and a balanced finish. This new ride for experienced cyclists intersects with existing itineraries while introducing an additional climb before the first rest stop. This also brings in another thrilling segment between Terra Nova and Lavender Hill. From the Dunedin Rest stop (stop #2) you may regroup with friends doing the Challenger or Classic ride. This route is predominantly gravel terrain with potential sections of loose gravel, mud, ruts and sand depending on conditions. We encourage accomplished intermediate and advanced cyclists to register for this ride.
Start times subject to change. Cyclists will be notified as event day approaches.
All riders and bikes are welcome!
Please be aware that the 40k and 60k rides are predominantly Gravel rides. We do not recommend road bikes on these rides.
Vintage jerseys, gear & kits are encouraged! “Heroic” or vintage rides include:
- Steel frames or a frame made in 1987 or earlier Old style toe clip pedals with straps
- Down tube shifters
- Tubular tires
- No heroic bike, no problem!
All worthy bikes in good working order are welcome (mountain bikes, hybrid, fat tire, etc). If you would like to show off your vintage ride, post a pic and hashtag #turasmor on social or display it at our “Show & Shine” event day as part of the Vintage Festival.
