When life imitates art in Creemore, it is usually over a glass of fine lager. The hills of Creemore are home to a number of artists and Creemore Spring’s history is rich with their involvement. Creemore’s founder, John Wiggins, is a water color artist who’s works can be found on the walls of Creemore Springs Brewery and his design graces Creemore Springs Premium Lager’s original beer label. Our main street boasts an artists’ cooperative called the Mad and Noisy Gallery and the brewery itself was once home to the Mad and Noisy Valley Gallery. Each year, Creemore participates in the celebration of local artists with the Purple Hills Arts and heritage tour. More recently, Creemore has commissioned local artists from the critically acclaimed Group - ‘Drawnonward’ - to paint images of Creemore Springs’ distinctive icons. The spring water scene on the label, the 1931 Model A Ford and the Heritage Building location of the Brewery on the main street of Creemore; will all be captured and interpreted by this area’s finest Artists. Come up to Creemore…sample the art of the Brewmaster and meet the local artists and appreciate their muse. For more information on the artists visit: |
