Ganaraska Hiking Trail
The Ganaraska Hiking Trail is in the province of Ontario, Canada and was developed and is
maintained entirely by volunteers in the Ganaraska Hiking Tail Association.
The following is just one of the many sections you can hike.
Mad River section:
The Mad River section is named after the Mad River, which it parallels for some distance.
It has a length of 52 kilometers and ends at the end-of-trail cairn, west of Glen Huron, where it
connects with the Bruce Trail. The trail is mainly flat terrain with a few hills
(Ten Hill west of Creemore). Special parts of this section include the Mad River, where one
can see the trout spawning in spring, Ten hill and Creemore with its renowned local brewery
and its ancient little jail. This section is suitable for novices. Please see the re-route warnings.
