Workshops

In a perfect world of mockumentary making, everyone would own a digital video camera & know how to use it. If this applies to you, read no further - just get cracking & make your Mock Doc!

...but let’s face it, there are plenty of folks out there who haven’t a clue. And some of them even own the perfect equipment! For these folks we have designed TWO informative workshops:

Workshop #1
Saturday, September 13
10 am to 3 pm

Introduction to MockDocs

This workshop will be held in the Board Room at Creemore Springs Brewery. There will be a lunch break; bring your own or eat locally. Myke Dyer will teach storyboarding and script creation for the morning session and then camera and audio techniques for the afternoon session.

Bring a digital camera of some sort, charged batteries, tape if using digital-video and lots of ideas! Instructor Myke Dyer (founder & director of FABULOUS FESTIVAL OF FRINGE FILM) will include overviews, samples, styles & techniques, and practice sessions for all attending.

Cost: $15 for one session
or $25 for the day

Workshop #2
Sunday, September 21
10 am to 1pm

Introduction to Editing Your Video in Preparation for Screening

This workshop will be held in the Board Room at Creemore Springs Brewery.

Bring your unedited video and learn how to fine tune it. We have arranged for an instructor from Humber College to teach basic technical skills for both Apple & PC platforms.

Cost: $15

There will be a maximum of 20 participants for each workshop.
In order for the workshops to take place, we will need a minimum of 5 participants.
